A Novel Idea: The Mentally Exhausting Thoughts of a Fledgling Writer

I have signed up for National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) for 9 consecutive years; always stopping within a day or two. One year, I managed 800 words before dropping out. That brief essay became beginnings of a novel that has morphed and grown to around 10K words. My goal is to add 50K this time around and FINALLY complete the story. Additionally, I have some short story beginnings that need attention. I am ready to get published.... as soon as I am done writing. :)

NaNoWriMo - Day One

Thanks to Vincent M. Wales for posting his word count to Facebook. It inspired me to see how much I could write in the last 10 minutes of Day One of National Novel Writing Month which started today. I plunged in and wrote 300 words just before midnight.

If I were a better typist, I might have made 500! Ha!

I started! I did it! I started! And the desperate, free-writing was fun! I can't wait until tomorrow. Wait! It IS tomorrow!

I'll rest first though. I want to be fresh for the next round.
